RADA is a both an individual charity and a part of a Higher Education institution, the Conservatoire of Dance & Drama. Our mission is to provide world-leading training in the dramatic arts and ensure that the most talented students can access training regardless of personal or financial circumstances.
Who we train
Every year we audition or interview every single one of over 3,000 applicants to our courses. Our training is intensive and innovative, responsive to the need of each student and the demands of the industry. Unlike other degree courses, the contact time at RADA is in excess of 35 hours per week, meaning students are unable to subsidise loans with part-time work. We unite a diverse student population and have extensive scholarship funds to overcome financial barriers to education.

- In 2016/17, 44% of our students on our undergraduate courses had a family income of under £42,000
- In 2016/17, 54% of our students received scholarship support through RADA.
Who else we reach
Every year we reach thousands more people through our public performances, Short Courses, work with schools, and community programmes. We share our passion for theatre and create engaging experiences that challenge participants and audiences and enrich lives.
How we use your money
Every year we need to raise over £2 million to supplement income from student fees and government funding to support our four key fund areas. Donors can choose to support one of these fund areas specifically, or to make a gift in support of them all.
